Large tree reaching 50 to 80 feet tall bearing tons of small black cherries. Use to make wonderful pies, extracts, juice, wine, and many more. Difficult if not impossible to come by commercially, black cherries offer a flavor sought after by many. The tree itself is merchantable as black cherry lumber is worth quite a bit of money to a furniture or cabinet maker. Also makes an excellent firewood for cooking.
Requires stratification. Mix seeds in a ziploc bag of potting soil that is moist but not wet, and keep the bag in the refrigerator for 3 months. Remove and plant in pots. Plant in final location once roots fully develop.
