Easy to harvest by removing the entire heads from the shrub. Elderberry has many medicinal uses. Make tinctures, wine, jam, and many other fun products.
Requires stratification twice. Expose seeds to normal indoor temperature for several months. Then expose to normal winter temperature for 3 months. Mix seeds in a ziploc bag of potting soil that is moist but not wet. Expose bag to normal indoor temperature for 3 months. Place bag in refrigerator for 4 months then sow seeds in pots or seed beds. Plant in final location once roots fully develop.
